How Can We Help?

MatrixMaxx 14.4 now live!

On December 9, 2014, MatrixMaxx implementations on the live production servers were upgraded to version 14.4.  New features in this release include:

  • Upgrades to the new CRM/Task module have impacted almost all of the pages.
    • When searching for tasks you may now display tasks on a calendar view in addition to a list result or export, and list results are upgraded/improved
    • Ability to attach Leads to Individuals as well as Organizations
    • CRM Lead widget upgraded and improved, including expansion of language to better reflect the CRM/Task module combination and the ability for the widget to report on not just one module, but more than one or all of them
    • CRM Lead page updates, including ability to change phase on Lead View or on Edit, and a link to the contact’s record
    • New Lead fields added:
      • Staff Owner
      • Helpers text field. For example, a board member who has a connection, a staffer’s family member who knows someone, etc.
      • Event Source text field to document the key event or campaign which produced this lead. i.e., a particular ad, or attendance at a particular industry event
      • Close Date is an ANTICIPATED close date, or a date that it really needs to be sold by (e.g., tradeshow floor closes)
      • Amount of the Estimated Value of the lead if it closes successfully
  • Contacts: The individual or company number (aka pretty/short number) can now be searched with the ‘quick search‘ on the Intranet
  • Contacts/Duplicate-handling: New ‘Individuals with the same Email Address’ report that shows individuals with the same email address, to help identify potential duplicates in the database.
  • Communications: Individual Lists: Link from each individual list to identify and exclude individuals with duplicate emails  [Some organization like to share emails between staff. The issue is sending these lists to MailChimp, who will reject lists with a certain % of duplicates.]
  • Communications: Organization Lists: New ‘View all Organization Lists’ report
  • Upgrades and Improvements in the Meetings module …
    • Dashboard: Meeting Summary widget upgraded to included better help text on how numbers are being calculated
    • Added date range to the Intranet Meeting Search
    • List Names attached to Meeting Fees now show both name and description, so it is easier for staff to know which list is being used
    • Registration: upgraded validation/warning message when a staff user edits payment amount which in turns resets the ‘best guess’ line item allocations
    • Registration: Intranet-side Attendee Substitution interface improvements; we moved attendee substitution higher on the page (up above badge fields), changed ‘apply’ button to ‘apply attendee substitution,’ and added some more helptext to the attendee substitution ‘find’ widget.
    • Group Registration: Individual names added to Event line items on payment page to help with staff allocation of partial payments
    • Group Registration: Added new mechanism to trigger group registration confirmation summary email from bundle view page
    • Meetings/Reports: Advanced Individual Search, Meeting Registration Activity Criteria — new way to choose ‘any’ meeting, that will last ‘forever’ (i.e., new meetings will also be chosen, automatically)
  • Commerce:  ‘comment’ now available to  staff on commerce product order search on intranet side
  • Advocacy: Upgraded our congressional data importer to better handle staff with two titles. Previously, the second title was dropped/ignored. Now we are adding it into the title field, comma-separated from the first, when possible
  • Variety of Finance and Payment-related upgrades:
    • Refunds: ability to choose which real-time credit-card transaction to refund. Very useful for registrations paid for with 2 different cards or multiple transactions
    • Payment search: Partial check numbers are now searchable, instead of needing to know the whole/exact check number
    • Deletions: non-real-time card payments that were entered as payments erroneously may now be deleted.
  • WWW Forgot Password page upgrade: The ‘forgot password’ page allowed the user to type in username or email and we automatically either a) sent the username/password in email (if password is not hashed) or b) did a password reset email (if password is hashed). We have upgraded this functionality to allow the user to also ‘search’ by First/Last name and potentially choose their profile (and do a reset or recover credentials on it), much as we do on the ‘create profile’ flow
  • WWW Meeting Confirmation page: Link to ‘Add to my Calendar’ function added to the generic WWW meeting confirmation page template
