How Can We Help?

MatrixMaxx 15.3 live on September 9, 2015! SurveyMaxx and More!

Autumn is upon us, and so is MatrixMaxx 15.3!

For a guided walkthrough of the new features, attend our free Overview Session on Monday, September 14, 1pm Eastern time on WebEx.  (RSVP to admin@matrixgroup.net to reserve your slot and get login information!)

The highlight of 15.3 — something that many of you have been eagerly waiting for — is SurveyMaxx! You can find SurveyMaxx within the Communication module and use it to create a variety of surveys for your members.

  • Create Surveys with text, multiple choice, radio button and NEW! integer questions. [This new integer type introduces validation to steer the users into providing numeric responses, using either keypad entry or by clicking arrows to move numbers up and down. So you can ask questions like ‘How many?” and “In what year” and get back numeric responses that can be massaged and totaled in a spreadsheet format.]
  • Limit the surveys to certain members or lists of individuals in your database, or let anyone just go right in
  • Publish the Survey to your website. [Note! We have wrapped the WWW component in a default style for all clients. If you want a customized style/wrapper, please contact Matrix Group.]
  • Review and export results

Other enhancements in MatrixMaxx 15.3 include …

  •  More Business Intelligence Reports added to the base product. You may find these on your MatrixMaxx Intranet, under Reports -> Business Intelligence. They are viewable by Siteadmin access, Full Membership access, those using the Info/ReportMaxx access levels, and some client-level custom access levels . The reports available in this release include …
    • Who is Not Engaged in Activities? (Basic Organization Member Report)
Allows association staff to start answering the key retention question at the organization level — ‘Who is not using our member services?‘ — by providing critical search criteria to come up with a basic list of disengaged organization-level members.
    • Member Committee Participation/Engagement Reports, by Organization or by Individual. The organization-level report shows the number of committee participants from each member organization, allowing the association to quickly and easily see your most engaged members and to identify gaps and trends since the previous year. The individual-level report ranks individual participation, allowing the association to quickly see who are the most engaged individuals on committees. [Note: known browser issue: the vertical links used by these charts work in some browsers and not others, for the header row on this report. e.g., they work in chrome and not in firefox]
    • Financial Trend Summary Report. Tag data in the various financial modules and then use these tags to run a new financial trends summary report for each organization in your database. Linked from the organization’s report page. Report tags can be controlled by Siteadmins in the Admin menu.
    • Individual Participation Report. Shows basic activity of the individual in each MatrixMaxx module for the last few years (Sometimes referred to as the ‘Holy Grail’ report because it pulls together all data in one highly desirable report). Linked from the Reports page in each individual record.
  • Communications: Upgrades to communication stamping and viewing, including …
    • More filtering options when viewing communications for an organization or individual
    • New ‘staff name’ field that allows an item to be tagged as coming from a different staff member than the one who actually entered it
  • Meeting Comparison and Weeks-Out Summary Reports upgraded to reflect both Attendee and Registration number data.  Previously, these report were focusing on Attendee data, but now Registration data is also available to help with comparison and analysis between meetings. (These numbers tell different stories across the years, depending on the popularity of a venue with spouses/kids.)
  • Commerce Product Enhancements including …
    • Product number search now allows for partial-string searches. e.g., If product ID is 87896-ABC, previously you had to search for this exact ‘string’ but now the user can just search for 87896 and find it (along with any other products that contain those letters in that order)
    • Product Number added to short WWW display on a search or featured product page.
    • Product Fulfillment email now available to be sent when fulfilling a product order. When fulfilling the order, a pre-checked ‘Send Fulfillment Confirmation to User‘ box will trigger a fulfillment email to the user. Staff may uncheck this box to prevent it from triggering. It may also be manually re-triggered and edited from the order view page, in the email section. This can be useful if staff are fulfilling partial orders. [Note: it does not trigger for all-electronic orders, though staff could manually trigger it if they wanted. This would probably not be useful in most cases as the point of the fulfillment email is to confirm that tangible items have shipped.]
    • New! Special Instructions field. For implementations using the generic commerce confirmations and emails: a New special ‘instructions’ field that staff can fill out for each product and that MatrixMaxx shows on the product confirmation page on WWW and the purchase confirmation email. e.g., If a user buys the Canning Course, then her email confirmation could say “Because you bought the Canning Course, you can now access the course at www.courses.com with the password IPAIDFORIT
  • WWW SEO optimization improved with upgraded meta and title tags.
    • Some WWW forms were showing ‘Maxx:FormName’ or ‘Maxx:Client’ and we have now changed this to put the more important form and client names as the wording.
    • Tweaks and upgrades to auto-populated page metadata values including the title, location, protected metatag and the published metatag
    • New crawler-friendly Published product list available for providing to site search engines and/or linking on the WWW site.
  • WWW Individual Email List Subscription page now available for all MatrixMaxx implementations (but off by default on WWW Individual ‘Edit Profile’).  Take this opportunity to visit your admin page and check your Personal Profile settings, help text, and subscription page help text!
  • WWW Profile Management: Organization Management. The main Organization Management page on WWW was already upgraded a short while ago; now we have upgraded the WWW Organization View/Edit page. We have added new, responsive accordians to the View page, open/close all icons, and a pencil ‘edit’ icon at the top in addition to the edit functions available in the individual accordians.
  • Intranet: ‘FIND’ mechanism upgraded in Individuals and Organizations. The old FIND — which disabled the input box and forced users to use the ‘Find’ popup to find the record — has been upgraded to allow users to type and auto-fill the value based on name, or also use the popup Find if they need to apply more criteria to it. [We’ll start expanding onto WWW profile pages in future releases]
