NOTE: Due to changes in industry practices, Discussion lists that are mentioned in this article are no longer available in MatrixMaxx.
Winter is upon us, and so is MatrixMaxx 15.4!
For a guided walkthrough of the new features and changes, attend our free Overview Session on Friday, December 11, 11am Eastern time on WebEx. (RSVP to admin@matrixgroup.net to reserve your slot and get login information!)
Enhancements in MatrixMaxx 15.4 include …
- CRM: New Pipeline Report. Linked from CRM -> Reports, this new Lead Pipeline Report that offers a quick, visual report for those utilizing CRM for development activities.
- SurveyMaxx: By popular request: if users must login to take the survey, don’t let them complete survey more than once. This will allow staff to use Surveys for voting scenarios, too, where it is important that each member only ‘vote’ once.
- Fundraising: More payment options on WWW Pledge Form.
- Matrix can now adjust the WWW pledge form to give users two options — Pay Donation Now vs. Submit Pledge and Pay Later — or just the option to Pay Now.
- Matrix can now adjust the payment page to either force users to pay the entire amount (traditional generic WWW payment page setup) or allow users to choose to pay just a part of what they have pledged. The default for all MatrixMaxx clients remains at paying the entire amount; if you want to explore having us change this for you, please contact us.
- Meetings: Badge/Webinar upgrade is now part of the base MeetingMaxx module. Make a meeting venue ‘virtual’ and eliminate address fields from the display. Also, enable or disable use of badges, meaning control of whether or not users see and fill out badge fields.
- Membership: Invoice Fine Print addition/override at the individual invoice level. For associations using the generic MatrixMaxx templates, you may actually override the generic default invoice text for the membership invoice, to customize it for that member. (For associations using somewhat customized invoice templates, the generic text box will appear above your custom one, if you decide to use this new field. If your template was completely custom, this new field won’t appear at all.)
- Communications: Upgraded ‘light’ moderation setting to allow not only ‘Designated Staff’ and ‘All Staff’ posters to bypass moderation but also ‘Adminstrator’ posters. This comes into play when lists are set as discussion lists (i.e., members of the list can post) and some of the administrators are list members. [Reminder: All instances of MatrixMaxx are by default set to the higher level of moderation, meaning that all messages must go through moderation if the list is set as such. We must receive a request in writing through the client extranet to lower your moderation setting. You can check your setting under Admin -> Key MatrixMaxx settings.]
- Communications: Intranet-side Staff entry form is now responsive and has been reformatted for a less vertical experience for those users on wide-screen, but will narrow down for a quick scrolling experience on a smaller screen.
- Communications: Added an Export to the Communications Search
- Communications: Organization Lists. Everyone already had Individual Lists; now we’ve added Organization Lists to the generic product and expanded their functionality to include the ability to delete a list.
- Communications: Mailchimp Integration Upgrade: When syncing an individual list in the Communications module with a list in MailChimp, MatrixMaxx can now send over more fields. For all clients, we have generically added several more fields. And we also have the ability, on a per-client basis, to send over additional custom fields to MailChimp. (Contact Matrix if you want more info about this.) These fields can then be used in merging and reporting!
- Misc. small tweaks and fixes:
- Commerce Order search optimization to speed it up
- Fix to CRM widget to make it display better
- Intranet Search Result pages now responsive
- Upgrade Membership Confirmation email to be smarter about payment type choices
