Winter is here, and so is the latest release of MatrixMaxx. MatrixMaxx 16.4 rolls out a new organization-affiliation flow on the WWW Create Profile form, a new 1-click Meeting Registration Map, Badge Builder, and more! For a guided walk-through of the release, be sure to attend our free Overview Session on Friday December 16, 2016, 11am Eastern time on WebEx. (If you haven’t already, please RSVP to admin@matrixgroup.net to reserve your slot and get login information!)
Enhancements in MatrixMaxx 16.4 include …
- WWW Create Profile: Organization/Company affiliation section upgraded to simplify the flow. [Internal Matrix Reference: MAXX-2691]
- Now 2 simple radio button options rather than 3 options. You either are part of a Company/Organization or you aren’t. So the user doesn’t need to think about whether or not their organization is in the database.
- The Find popup is gone; now the user can type the name which gets checked against the database
- Once the user types at least 2 characters, the option to add appears on the page. So we want people to try to find their company at least once, so that as many dups as possible are being prevented, then we want to provide an easy way to create the company
- Don’t forget! SiteAdmins! Go into Admin->Edit Custom Settings -> WWW Personal Profile and change the help text to make sense for your organization!
- Meetings/Mapping: For those with both MeetingMaxx and the Mapping upgrade, we have added a 1-click meeting map comparison of registrations to the ‘previous meeting’ [Internal Matrix Reference: MAXX-68826]
- Meetings: New Switch to Customize ‘From’ field for MeetingMaxx emails: it can continue to be set by the implementation defaults, or staff can change to use the name/email of the meeting contact (if no contact exists for a particular meeting, then the defaults will be used for that meeting) [Internal Matrix Reference: Project 7740]
- Meetings: Badge Builder has been rolled into the generic product
- Meetings: Maximum Event attendance now rolled into generic product. If maxium reached for ticked or signup events, a SOLD OUT shows up. [Internal reference Maxx-2824]
- Reporting: Upgrades to the Organization Participation Report (inclusion of prospect status on nonmembers) and Organization Printable Staff Roster (more info about each company and upgraded formatting)
- Social Media: Added social media icons/links to the Intranet company/individual view pages and to the generic WWW Directory
- CRM: Merge/Delete Lead function
- Mailchimp released a new API that MatrixMaxx is now using. Mailchimp API 3.0 was rebuilt from the ground up using RESTful technologies. (Mailchimp will turn off its old/existing API on December 31, 2016.) We have also added ‘nickname‘ to the fields that we send to Mailchimp. If anyone has any issues syncing the lists, please let us know. NOTE! if you do not see nickname in your Mailchimp once you sync the lists, use the ‘Toggle Columns’ function when you are in a list to turn these columns on in your view. [Internal Matrix Reference: MAXX-2670]
- Also … All MatrixMaxx instances will soon be upgrading to private virtual servers. This allows us to do more customizations on server-level settings (for example, attachment/list email size settings). Several clients were upgraded this quarter, and we will continue to upgrade through the next quarter into 2017.
And don’t forget to RSVP to admin@matrixgroup.net for the free Overview of the new features and changes on Friday December 16th, 11am Eastern time on WebEx. Even if you can’t come, an RSVP is helpful to know that you can’t attend.
