Overview
Use the Bulk Communication Stamper form to ‘bulk stamp’ communications to a number of individuals at one time, based on membership in certain list(s). This is useful when lists are exported and used for purposes that MatrixMaxx would not otherwise be able to record, such as mailing marketing materials for an upcoming show, group faxing, group calling, or using an outside email list service to send an email to a list.
What Is the Bulk Communication Stamper?
MatrixMaxx’s Bulk Communication Stamper tool is a handy form that Maxx administrators can use to ‘bulk stamp’ communications to a number of individuals at one time, based on membership in certain list(s).
How to Use the Bulk Communication Stamper
With the release of 17.3 in September 2017, all MatrixMaxx clients have the Bulk Communication Stamper out of the box. To access the tool, follow this path:
Communication > Communication History > Bulk Communication Stamper
You’ll notice that several fields are required before you save, AND since there is no undo, be sure to proofread your text and double-check the category/types that you chose, as well as the mailing list(s) you will stamp the communication to.
Once you’ve filled out all relevant fields, click “Save/Finish.” Clicking this button will submit the form, which will create multiple communication records in Maxx.
Where to Locate Communications
Once you’ve saved a communication via the Bulk Communication Tool, you will see that communication in the individual profile of each person who was on the mailing list(s) you selected.
Go to an indivdiual’s profile in Maxx, and in the middle of the page, under the Communication Accordion you will see the communication that has been stamped. You can click it to view it. (Note that you can also access all stamped communications in the Communications tab located on the left of a profile page.)
When To Use the Bulk Communication Stamper in Maxx
Using the bulk communication stamper is useful when lists are exported and used for purposes that MatrixMaxx would not otherwise be able to record, such as:
- mailing marketing materials for an upcoming show,
- group faxing,
- group calling,
- mailing materials to board or committee members,
- mailing invitations to events to committees or lists, or
- using an outside email list service to send an email to a list.
