How Can We Help?

MatrixMaxx 18.4 went live on December 17, 2018 (1-click WWW Classic Meeting Flow and Bulk Activity Stamping)

The 18.4 MatrixMaxx release is here with Bulk Activity Stamping and 1-click WWW Classic Meeting Flow optimization and more!

Our free Overview Session was held on Wednesday December 19, 2018,  at 11am Eastern time on Zoom.  View the recording here.

Enhancements available in MatrixMaxx 18.4 include …

WWW Classic Meeting Registration: 1-click flow

Back in MatrixMaxx 18.1 (March 2018), we unveiled the first half of the meeting optimization designed to turn simple meeting registrations (e.g., webinars) into a 1-click experience. i.e., Click to register, Login (or create a profile), and then DONE! We have now finished this coding, so a pre-logged in user could literally go as fast as clicking a ‘Register Now’ link, and then seeing a ‘thanks!’ confirmation page

How does this work?!?

  • If there is only one fee available to the logged-in user, MatrixMaxx will now automatically set that one as the selected registration fee, and if there are no other questions, badge info, guest or other necessary info on page 1, then page 1 will be skipped entirely!
  • If the meeting fee is $0, then MatrixMaxx will skip the final review page in addition to the payment page, thus making the flow a page shorter and hopefully addressing the concern that on a free meeting users were stopping at this review page.
  • If there is interest, we will also consider expanding this logic to Group Registration, but in talking to a mix of users, most of you seem to be using classic registration for webinars.

Bulk Activity Stamper

Last quarter, we unveiled the ability to stamp activities. Now we are expanding that functionality with a new Bulk Activity Stamper, under Contacts -> Activities

So now, as with Bulk Communication stamping, you may bulk stamp an activity to a group of individuals (and this will filter up to their companies).

NOTE: If there is interest in a bulk-stamp directly to companies, please let us know. This has not been a requested feature for communications, so we didn’t add it for activities, either.

My MatrixMaxx: New Widget: Saved Exports and Reports

Under Reports, staff users have the ability to save certain searches and exports to ‘My Reports’, and now for the frequent users of this function, we have added a newly available dashboard widget. From My MatrixMaxx dashboard, click the ‘+’ icon to add a widget, open the ‘General’ accordion, and choose ‘Saved Reports’

Other Enhancements and Changes

WWW Classic Meeting View Page  style tweaks to the Call-to-Action links (Register Now, Add-to-Calendar, etc.) to make them stand out in a more button-like fashion, by calling the established ‘button’ style present in your WWW site stylesheets. Note: If no button style was present on your site, we inserted a style in our Maxx style override in order for this to work. (Internal Reference M75380)

Membership Record Additions/Changes (Internal Reference 117636)

  • New link from Contact Record to their Member Record (If the organization member is an ‘inheriting’ member, then there is a link to the parent member’s record. If the organization used to be a member and now inherits, both links are present)
  • New ‘Member Record Comment’ field

WWW Commerce Store Search Page now has a link at the bottom to the 1-page list of published products meant for the Search Engines/Crawlers to more easily crawl your store products. (Internal Reference Maxx-3284)

Upgraded Payment Reconciliation Export to new exporter with field-picker (Internal Reference 118138)

Organization Application Search has a new generic criteria; the ability to search for apps by number of days past application date. So, for example, you could find unpaid applications more than 90 days past application date (Internal Reference P-8430)

Tweaked support for a USB Credit Card Swiper as a way to populate the payment page. This function allows staff to connect a USB Card Swiper to their computer and ‘swipe’ cards rather than type them. This can be useful for on-site registrations and product sales. This is not an alternate payment method; this is simply an input device designed to take the place of manually keying card info (Internal reference Maxx 2645).

Security, Privacy and Integrations

In addition to the upgrades noticeable in the interface, there are other things that have been changed ‘under the hood’ or are in the process of changing:

Progress Report: PayPal: PayFlow change to Transparent Redirect [internal reference MAXX-3210]

As mentioned last quarter, PayPal Payments Pro and Payflow Pro merchants/users who want PCI compliance while maintaining full control over designing and hosting checkout pages on their website can now use Transparent Redirect. Transparent Redirect posts payment details silently to the Gateway server, so this sensitive information never goes through the merchant’s website. Meaning our MatrixMaxx payment page — and thus your website, assuming you don’t have other systems taking credit cards — are fully PCI-compliant as PayPal is PCI-compliant.

  • The MatrixMaxx team has the initial version of this code working on our dev Demo site
  • In speaking with PayPal, we now understand that this upgrade only works for newer versions of PayFlow, and will need adjustments made to the setup in the PayPal Manager
  • In progress:
    • We are in the process of confirming clients’ versions of PayFlow. If you haven’t already done this, you can do this by logging into PayPal manager and taking a screen-shot of the landing page, or we will call you and we’ll walk through the login together (we can not access the PayPal Manager console for most of our clients due to the new question security step)

Special Overview Session PREVIEW! Batch Sending of Emails/Invoices

We are working with a beta client to construct batch sending of AMS-generated emails. This upgrade would work in conjunction with the PDF-Invoice upgrade to allow associations to bulk-send reminders that could include PDF invoices.  The first version of this is available for preview: bulk-sending of the ‘balance due’ email for Organization Membership Applicatons/Renewals
