Our 20.4 MatrixMaxx release rolled out a big enhancement to the individual Importer, just as many of you are looking for creative ways to expand your use of any and all of your online systems. Please take a few minutes to review these patch notes, which include information on the expanded Importer as well as several other tweaks/updates that have also gone live.

Individual Importer Upgrade

The Importer will now take a variety of company/organization fields into account before importing the individual(s)! So instead of the individuals simply coming into MatrixMaxx with no company affiliation, there are now a variety of ways to make this match or create a company record.
All of the details are in a newly revised Support Center Importer article but here is a brief summary:
The original importer worked with these 4 fields:
- FirstName
- LastName
- Title
The new importer works with:
- IndividualId
- FirstName
- LastName
- Title
- CompanyId
- CompanyImportId
- CompanyName
If the Importer can match an Id, it makes a definite match. If it can’t, it works through some additional logic to try to match existing records before trying to create anything new.
Other Enhancements and Changes
Finance: Credit Card Surcharge: Implementation by Module. For those clients using or considering the Surcharge upgrade, we now have the nuance to turn on the Surcharge module by module rather than for the entire MatrixMaxx implementation. e.g., So surcharge could be on for Membership and Commerce but off for Meetings. If you already have surcharge implemented and are interested in this, please let us know as there will be some data planning/transition necessary to move between the two settings (Internal Reference Maxx-3528)
Meetings: Reports: Meeting Registrations by … We upgraded the existing ‘Meeting Registrations by Sources’ report and made it also work by Marketing Code (Internal Reference maxx-3447)
Membership/Company View page tweaks. Based on user suggestions, we have tweaked the roll-over display of membership data on the intranet Company View page to more clearly reflect recent application statuses and payments. words and words (Internal Reference Maxx-3533)
Meetings: Intranet-side Group Registration: Option to turn off. We turned on the Intranet-side Group registration flow in the 20.3 release in October. Some clients loved it, some have had suggestions for improvement, some have not liked it at all. So we have now created a setting that we can use to turn this off for your implementation. We are happy to do this free of charge through Jan 2021. (Internal Reference maxx-3447)
Meetings: Intranet-side Group Registration: corrected an issue in our ‘scribe’ code that triggers the bundled confirmation emails. In some situations, confirmations for the bundles created and triggered on the intranet side created ‘sorry’ errors; this is now fixed (Internal Reference 125504)
Meetings: Intranet-side Group Registration: adjusted display when applying payments. When applying payments to a bundle, it is now possible to see the invoice number involved in each registration and also see which registration matches each surcharge/adjustment line (Internal Reference 125539)
Commerce: Billing Item View: Bill display upgrades. When linking from a Billing item to a list of Bills that include this item, there is now a dollar total at the bottom of the page in addition to showing the individual Bills (Internal Reference maxx-3534)

Intranet Dashboard: Updated the Animal Cams available on the MyMatrixMaxx Dashboard widget! Note that you may need to refresh or re-select widgets for them to update their stream source.(Internal Reference MAXX-3311)
