How Can We Help?

MatrixMaxx 22.2 went live on Jun 21, 2022 (MultiFactor Auth, WWW Logo Wall, HL API Documentation

Lots of big changes are continuing here into the Summer, in addition to some cool new offerings and enhancements in MatrixMaxx 22.2.

The MatrixMaxx server upgrades are nearly complete (migrating from an older LAMP stack to a newer LEMP stack) and our new High-Level (HL) API calls, tokens, and dynamic documentation are in use by several 3rd party vendors. In addition, we have been working on some exciting new features and reports that are ready to be put to use.

These patch notes outline the upgrades and changes included in this release. You may also View the 22.2 Overview Session Recording of the 11 am (EDT) session on Thursday, June 23, 2022

Available! Intranet-side Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)

Security is becoming increasingly important, not only as a best practice but in some cases to meet increasing insurance requirements.  MatrixMaxx is now offering a basic MFA (aka 2FA) upgrade for the Intranet Staff side of MatrixMaxx

  • Once staff have input their credentials (username and password) for access to their MatrixMaxx Intranet, they are then given a prompt to choose an MFA method.
  • Staff may choose to either send either 1) an SMS/text code to their smartphone or 2) an email code to their profile address
  • Once the 5-minute code is properly input, staff will then be directed into MatrixMaxx

MatrixMaxx 22.2 Generic Enhancements

These enhancements are now in the generic product. If you have the module that these are attached to, you’ve now got them! (reminder: association-specific customizations may override generic functionality)

WWW: New Organization Logo Wall  (Internal Reference Maxx 3796)

  • A ‘concept car’ to spotlight new WWW approaches/ideas
  • If your organization has implemented the generic, public WWW Organization List, you’ve got the ability to try out this new feature!
  • Use Organization Query Builder to construct a query
  • Save this Search and choose to make it available on WWW
  • You will then be able to access a URL to link on your website
  • This is a new concept, and we’ll be adding to it. If you like it, please give us feedback on what you’d like to see added next.
  • Note: this new feature does not work properly on the older MatrixMaxx LAMP servers. Only the newer/upgraded LEMP servers. So if you are one of the handful of clients who are not yet upgraded, this new feature will not function  yet

Contacts -> Organizations -> New Organization Participation Report with selection options for staff.  (Internal Reference P9150)

  • New dynamic Organization Participation Report, which will allow staff to select certain criteria/options rather than running a purely ‘canned’ report
  • This first version allows staff to show/hide sections
  • The next version will give more flexibility to order, and will enhance styling

Meetings: Registration: Badges:  Staff have new controls to show/not show badge fields in both classic and group registrations (Internal Reference P9175 )

Admin -> Edit Custom Settings -> Meetings accordion
–Added New Badge toggles: Title, Organization Name, Organization Name2, City, State, Province, Country
–Toggling these settings on or off will display/hide the badge fields on WWW registration pages (both group and classic) and on the registration emails (for emails, they are hidden even when viewed on the intranet side)
Note: All fields are still visible to staff on intranet registration pages.

Additional enhancements/updates include ….
