How Can We Help?

MatrixMaxx 17.1 went live March 21, 2017 (Expansion of Conversion Tracking using UTM codes)

Spring is here, and so is the latest release of MatrixMaxx.  MatrixMaxx 17.1 rolls out expanded Conversion Tracking using Analytics UTM codes, and more! For a guided walk-through of the release — and a sneak peek at the upcoming WWW Store upgrades –be sure to attend our free Overview Session on Monday March 27, 2017, 11am Eastern time on WebEx.  (If you haven’t already, please RSVP to admin@matrixgroup.net to reserve your slot and get login information!)

Enhancements in MatrixMaxx 17.1 include …

  • Expanded Analytics Conversion Tracking using UTM codes.  Back in 2016, we introduced the ability to tie a meeting in MatrixMaxx to a UTM campaign code in use by your Marketing team for promotion of that meeting. We then upgraded our MatrixMaxx-generated WWW pages to set a ‘cookie’ with this code and source info each time a person visited from a URL tied to UTM codes. And if that person registered – or ‘converted’ as is the current buzzword – then MatrixMaxx would capture the source info as a marketing code. Now that this upgrade has proven its worth, we have expanded the concept here in 2017 to the Membership module and the Commerce Product Store module.
  • Social Media: Added social media icons/links to the Intranet Individual View page and also upgraded handling of YouTube URLs in response to YouTube upgrade [Internal Item MAXX-2859 and Maxx-2876]
  • Meetings: WWW Meeting Calendar: Added Direct links to MyMeetings Meeting Documents on the Search for Meetings, and added a direct link to See all Past Meetings (for better SEO) [Internal Item MAXX-2859]
  • Meetings: Event Scheduling Validation. If a WWW-side individual user tries to sign up for more than one Event at the same time, MatrixMaxx will stop the user from doing so and provide warning text as to why. (NOTE: This only functions with individual-signup events, not ticketed events) [Internal Matrix Reference: Maxx 2725]  Use Cases that have been tested and verified:
    • 1. Individual Registrant without a companion Signs up for two events that overlap in time (Don’t allow).  Testing notes: when I try to sign up for 2 conflicting events (at the same time) and save the events page, it reloads with a notices at the top in red that I signed up for two conflicting events.
    • 2. Individual signs up for one event, Companion on same registration signs up for conflicting event (Should allow)
    • 3. Individual signs up for one event, Guest on same registration signs up for conflicting event (Should allow)
    • 4. Group Reg: Two individuals in same group sign up for conflicting events (should allow)
    • 5 Companion signs up for two events that conflict (don’t allow)
    • 6. Guest signs up for two events that conflict (don’t allow)
    • 7. Completed Registration and selected on event, paid. Came back and edited registration and added conflicting event. (don’t allow)
    • 8. Selected an individual sign up event and a ticketed event that conflict (should allow)
  • Meetings: upgraded exports to allow for CSV vs. direct to Excel and field-picking, including the ‘All Registrations’ export.
  • Surveys: Designate Min/Max required responses for multi-select fields. SurveyMaxx now supports minimum and maximum # of answers in multi-select question types.
    • The new fields will show up when this type of question is selected by staff in the add/edit question pop-up boxes. For example, you could ask a question, provide 10 choices, and require that a person completing the survey answer a minimum of 2 and maximum of 5 of the responses that are given.
    • We also added some validation to the add/edit question interface for staff, which will make sure that there is a number in the field, the number is non-zero and the number in the “max” fields is not less than the number in the “min” field, and vice versa. When a survey respondent tries to answer this question without giving the correct number of responses, they will be directed back to the same page with an error message (like we currently do for required questions). [Internal Matrix Reference: P-7820]
  • Reports: Advanced Organization Search: ability to search by both Expiration Date and Date Cancelled [Internal 107003]
  • Finance: Upgraded ‘Search for Payment‘ to add new search criterion of ‘Batch Number’ [Internal M-69347]
  • Now available: ability to tag certain demographics to show up on the Intranet Individual View page and Organization View page.  Cost varies based on the field(s).
  • Also … we are continuing to upgrade MatrixMaxx clients to private virtual servers. This allows us to do more customizations on server-level settings (for example, attachment/list email size settings) and we are preparing for the upcoming PayPal upgrade. More info to come, soon.

And don’t forget to RSVP to admin@matrixgroup.net for the free Overview of the new features and changes on Monday March 27, 2017, 11am Eastern time on WebEx.   Even if you can’t come, an RSVP is helpful to know that you can’t attend.
