How do you identify and market to your first time donors?
First, create an Individual List for a particular year: e.g., First Time Individual Donors
- Under Dynamic Criteria section, in the ‘Inclusion Criteria’ sub-section, click to ‘Add New Criterion (query builder)
- Once in Query Builder, choose Individuals who Match: Interactions -> Donors -> [‘Year’ if you’re looking for first time donors by year and ‘Fund’ if you’re looking by Fund] -> Was not donor in given year/fund, and then insert a starting year or fund. (e.g., 2009 for year
- Continue adding criteria as needed. e.g., If doing Year, add 2009, 2010, 2011, etc. up through last year
- THEN add one last criteria to indicate at the individual DID donate in the current year (e.g., 2019)
- Click ‘Search’ button to run the query, and you’ll be able to name your criteria and see the current results
The list will now be available to bookmark, run, view, export, etc.
