The MatrixMaxx Meeting Badge Builder has a built-in database of all the Avery labels making it very easy to select the Avery stock number and have all the page size setting automatically filled in. But what if you need to print to a type of label that isn’t based on an Avery product? This guide will show you how to set-up to badge builder to print to any device that can print from a PDF.
For this article, we will be using the Dymo LW Non-Adhesive Name Badge Labels 2 7/16″ x 4 3/16″ labels as our example. These labels are single print labels, so our number of labels per page will be one.
You will need to fill in the following properties for the labels:
- Paper Width
- Paper Height
- Top Margin
- Left Margin
- Row Spacing
- Column Spacing
- Badge Width
- Badge Height
- Badge Rows
- Badge Columns
All values should be in decimals. So since there is only one label per page, the paper height and badge height will be the same and the paper width and badge width will be the same. You also don’t need to worry about the row or column spacing. Also, the labels have no margins. So the settings would be:
- Paper Width: 4.1875
- Paper Height: 2.4375
- Top Margin: 0
- Left Margin: 0
- Row Spacing: 0
- Column Spacing: 0
- Badge Width: 4.1875
- Badge Height: 2.4375
- Badge Rows: 1
- Badge Columns: 1
This will set your label to be the correct size. Give this template a name, click save and you can access it anytime you need to use this size label.
