How Can We Help?

MatrixMaxx 21.3 went live on Sept 21, 2021 (Advocacy Maps, Registration and Badge Upgrades)

Our 21.3 MatrixMaxx release rolled out the evening of Tuesday, September 21, 2021. Please take a few minutes to review these patch notes, as all notable changes are documented here.

You can find the recording of the September 21st Overview Session here.

MatrixMaxx 21.3 Generic Enhancements

Meeting Upgrades

The meeting module continues to generate new ideas as associations expand their use of it for in-person, virtual and hybrid events …

    • WWW Group Registration: Ability to ‘copy’ main registration fee to all registrations. Got 45 attendees on one registration and they all need the same fee? No problem, now it’s just one button click for the coordinator! (internal reference P9120 ) (Overview Video Timestamp 6:40)
    • Badge Builder: Staff now have the ability to pull Question answers/data onto the badge template. So if you ask questions about interests, regions, or whatever, this data may be included on the printed badge (internal reference Maxx-3636 ) (Overview Video Timestamp 14:50)
    • Group Registration Bundles: The ‘Consolidated Bundle Statement‘ available from meeting bundles now reflects discounts. This is particularly useful for organizations using surcharge (and discounting it sometimes) or coupons. (Internal Reference 127257)

Advocacy/Mapping: Upgraded Mapping and District Reporting (Overview Video Timestamp 21:50)

Clients with both of these upgrades — Advocacy and Mapping — will now see maps of their members as part of the District reporting included in this module.  (internal reference P4679 – M81581 and Maxx-1978)

  • These maps highlight member influence and add instant visual impact!
  • Advocacy -> Reports -> Congressional District Report (active member organizations by district)
  • We have put an automated pull of the census shape files into place so that when states start to change their congressional district boundaries based on the 2020 census results, we will get the new shapes.
  • TIP! Save important Member searches into the ‘Advocacy’ module and then you are just one click away from a map of the results!
  • If you have one but not the other of these two modules — mapping and advocacy — it may be a very nominal fee to upgrade your implementation … please let Matrix know if you are interested.
  • This data may also be expanded to custom WWW side maps that highlight member influence. Contact Matrix for more info! Examples include a website advocacy map for  The Railway Supply Institute and an embeddable version for International Dairy Foods Association.
  • For clients without either of these modules, they are easy to implement!  Contact Matrix for pricing!

Also, for all clients with mapping, we have added the geocodes (Latitude and Longitude codes) to the Individual and Company View pages, under the address display (internal reference P4679 – M68948)

Intranet Contact records:  ‘Click to Call’

Based on user feedback, we’ve upgraded the phone numbers on the intranet side Individual/Organization View pages, and Individual Search Results, to link using the protocols that support soft phone and mobile phone dial support (tel:). This should make calling someone from Maxx a one-click function, so please give it a try! There are a lot of different types of phones, tablets, and technologies out there, so if it doesn’t work for you please let us know what you were trying it on.  (internal reference 127439 )

Other Enhancements and Changes

Commerce: Product Store

  • We corrected a conflict between the 1-click Digital Download upgrade (introduced in Spring 2021 in version 21.1) with the pre-existing Conversion-tracking functionality. The 1-click purchases were not properly logging and showing up in our conversion tracking. This has now been fixed, but conversion data between April 2021 and September 2021 was not captured properly for 1-click downloads.     (Internal Reference 127172)
  • Adjusted formatting and spacing on the staff notification email which includes information on purchased items.   (Internal Reference 127240)
  • Search for Orders, Intranet staff side: added the ability to search by Order Status (cancelled, not cancelled), and also Shipping (electronic, UPS, etc.). Fields also added to the generic export.   (Internal Reference 127136)

Commerce: Billing: Search for Bills, fixed a sort issue on the results page with the Amount ($) sort where it was not properly sorting numerically but rather alpha-numberically.   (Internal Reference Maxx-3638)

WWW Create Profile:  MatrixMaxx staff SiteAdmins now have the ability to add a custom paragraph to the generic WWW-side profile confirmation email. Admin -> Edit Custom Settings ->  WWW Create a Personal Profile -> Create a Personal Profile Confirmation Email Paragraph (plain text only) (As our confirmation emails are plain text, HTML should not be used in this paragraph) (Internal Reference 127031)

Committees: Added new Intranet roster template with email address as part of it, ‘Roster w/out Silents: Name, Title, Role, Company, Email, Only‘ (Internal Reference 127234)

Invoices: Stopped the generic invoice templates from showing cancelled check payments along with all of the real/non-cancelled check payments (Internal Reference 127257)

Reports: Individual Query Builder: Added Communications ‘subject’ field to query builder  (Internal Reference 127032)

and last but not least …

We’ve added some new, beautiful Autumn Images to the MatrixMaxx Intranet Login page and we’ve Updated the Animal Cams available on the MyMatrixMaxx Dashboard widget! Note that you may need to refresh or re-select widgets for them to update their stream source. (Internal Reference MAXX-3311)

API and Integrations

API version 21.3

  • Upgrades to the REST Handler should not impact existing API calls, but there is a small chance of issues, depending on how 3rd parties are using the API. (Internal Reference P9028 – M82153)

Integration with Campaign Monitor (CM) (Overview Video Timestamp  34:50)

  • We announced this new integration last quarter (21.2, July 2021)
  • As with MailChimp, basic integration is ‘free’ with the MatrixMaxx AMS. (Costs will of course apply for the CM account, itself.)
  • If you want us to send additional/custom fields to CM, there will be a small fee for us to make these additions for your implementation.
  • See our newly updated Campaign Monitor Help Article for benefits, instructions and tips

Available Paid Add-ons/Upgrades

These hot new features require a little bit of implementation/configuration for the clients who want to utilize them.

CommerceMaxx Product Store Conversion Reporting in Google Analytics (Overview Video Timestamp  50:15)

  • Matrix Group will upgrade code in MatrixMaxx to write WWW CommerceMaxx Store transactions (i.e,. when the person has checked out and reached the confirmation page on the Store) to the Google Analytics Enhanced Ecommerce module.
  • Once we have the transaction data writing from the Store, we will work with your association to implement Google Data Studio reports based on these tracked transactions/revenue and your reporting needs!
