The holidays might still be on the horizon, but we’re here to deliver some early cheer! Dive in and feast on these exciting additions before your actual feasting begins next week.
MatrixMaxx 24.2 is now live, and all MatrixMaxx implementations are running on this latest version of our association management software (AMS). The upgrade went live the evening of Tuesday 19nov2024.
AI is clearly hot right now, and in brainstorming conversations with various clients it became clear that some ‘wish list’ items would need the power of AI, but some would not. So this release includes both AI-generated summary options as well as enhanced engagement, reporting and dashboard views that don’t use AI.
If you missed the Free Overview Session on November 21st, 2024, you can watch the recording. We have included the Timestamps below of each of the topics. Also, you can read through the Transcript Summary to find the specific part of the video you would like to watch.
AI-driven reports now available in MatrixMaxx!
Specifically, the following three reports are available, with more to come in future releases:
- A company engagement report that highlights an organization’s engagement with your association over the past three years.
- An individual engagement report that gives you insight into how a person is engaging with your association.
- A meeting insight report that summarizes the Meeting Summary report.
Interested? In order to be part of the MaxxAI trial, you need to OPT-IN because we need explicit approval to send your data to the AI. As part of this approval process, we will share the terms of service with the AI company so that you can feel comfortable that your membership data will not go toward training a public LLM (large language model).
You can try MaxxAI for free for two weeks, anytime between now and the end of January 2025. Interested in being part of this? Here’s what you need to do:
- Contact the Matrix Group Solutions team at solutions@matrixgroup.net or put in a work request via the Matrix Work Request system.
- Our team will send you the Terms of Service and a document for you to sign, giving us approval to turn on the free, two week trial for our AI reports.
- As soon as we have your permission, we’ll connect this new feature to your MatrixMaxx implementation/data on your development site.
- During the trial period, we hope you’ll encourage your entire staff to use the reports and provide us with feedback. (We have already built a way to provide this feedback in the MatrixMaxx interface, so it goes directly to us!)
Additional Generic Enhancements
If you have the module that these enhancements are attached to, you’ve got them! (Reminder: association-specific customizations may override generic functionality)
Organization -> NEW Staff Engagement Report. This organization-level Engagement Report applies a variety of criteria to ‘rank’ staff of the organization based on their engagement with you! Inspired by our work with AI, but not actually using AI, we anticipate this report to be very popular and we look forward to comments to make it even better! (Internal Reference Maxx-4284)
Organization -> Reports -> Committee Participation Report. The organization-level Committee Participation Report boasts a new ‘Stats at a Glance’ section which quickly highlights engagement percentages and gaps. Again, No AI necessary: just good, old-fashioned math! (Internal Reference Maxx-4273)
Meetings -> Upgraded Dashboard ‘Weeks out Summary’ to now show two years of Previous Meetings (Internal Reference Maxx-4279)
Sponsorship -> Intranet View upgraded to show the Net Revenue at the top of the landing page dashboard. Previously, to see the Net Revenue, you had 4 clicks down into the Payment Reconciliation Report. (Internal Reference Maxx-4240)
Contacts -> Reports -> Organizations with Similar Names now include any non-active/out-of-business statuses on the merge page, so it is much easier to identify Keepers vs. Losers when making merge decisions (Internal Reference Maxx-4207)
Members -> Applications: Expanded the per-invoice override function from simply including Fine Print to also allow override of the Company Name and Address that displays on the invoice. If this functionality would be desirable in other modules/invoices please contact Matrix. (Internal Reference Maxx-4277)
CRM: Building on the Account Manager upgrade in the spring 2024 MatrixMaxx release, we have added several additions, including adding them to the Participation Report(s) and the ability to link-to/edit the Account Manager from the Intranet Organization View page (Internal Reference Maxx 4251 and 4253)
Bulk Email Attachments are back, after being taken offline for tweaking to better support large numbers (i.e., 1000+) (Internal Reference P9703 M87178)
Meetings -> Meeting View -> Rosters/Reports/Exports -> Attendee Substitution Summary is a new report that will show you all the registrations for that meeting where there has been an attendee substitution or replacement. If a registration has had multiple substitutions, they will all be listed. (Internal Reference Maxx 4255)
Meetings: WWW Payment tweaks to better support users being able to pay an ‘unpaid’ registration connected to a ‘sold out’ meeting. (Internal Reference Maxx 4232)
Meetings: WWW Meeting Document links are now ‘smarter’ and do not show the label if there isn’t at least one link or file present. (Internal Reference 134890)
Meetings -> Badge Builder interface upgrade to make dragging and dropping the badge variables easier. (Internal Reference Maxx-4244)
Meetings -> Export. Corrected a gap in the ‘direct to excel’ coding where the title of the file could get too big for Excel to be able to parse it (Internal Reference Maxx-4278)
Meetings -> Default ‘source’ changed to ‘N/A Staff’ by popular demand. Corrected a gap in the ‘direct to excel’ coding where the title of the file could get too big for Excel to be able to parse it (Internal Reference 134180)
Meetings -> Bundle Payments Corrected an issue on the intranet side, introduced in the 24.1 patch a few months ago, that made it impossible for staff to cancel/delete a bundle payment in certain circumstances. Several clients already had this hotfixed for them, as the need arose. (Internal Reference 133820)
Commerce -> WWW Store tweaks to modernize and streamline the text in the interface on the confirmation pages and emails (and more significant changes are coming in the next release). (Internal Reference Maxx-4254 and 4267)
WWW My Account was adjusted to not show certain invoices in cases where they were not fully/properly submitted. (Internal Reference 134947)
Reports include fixes to the ‘Custom Roster’ function which allows portrait images to be pulled into them. (Internal Reference 133970)
Reports -> Advanced Individual Search already allowed the export of ‘assistants’ and now we have added two additional fields connected to assistants via relationships: Personal Status and Current Company. These additional fields will make it easier for trade associations to quickly/easily do some periodic data validation. e.g., Are all the assistants for Member Primary Contacts still active status and still part of that company? For future releases, we are pondering some automated or 1-click data validation that will proactively flag situations like this for staff review (Internal Reference P9678 M87657)
Additional Add-On Enhancement(s)
These new features require per-client implementation, so please let Matrix know if you are interested in learning more!
Expansion of WWW Access to Contact Assistants for the Organization Management page(s) and the Organization Membership Applications. E.g., Allowing the Assistant of the Primary Contact to do the renewal. (Internal Reference Maxx-4269 and P9678)
And,
NEW! Available Integration with AxiosHQ, AI-driven Communications Software. Contact Matrix for details if you are interested in integrating with this tool!
